I just back from my midwife appointment (which was actually on the right day today) and it went well! Firstly I just said hello to the midwife and the student midwife (who I swear I've seen somewhere before) and they asked how I was and stuff. Then they took my blood pressure which was perfectly fine and asked me to do a wee test, which was a struggle because I'd just been! Luckily, I gave just enough, phew!!
After all that I got to lie on the bed and listen to the heartbeat! Woweee. It took the midwife about 10 seconds to find it, and it sounded amazing! I can't believe how loud it was and how steady. She said everything was fine there too so that was a relief! Back down the to serious stuff, I've now sent off for my prescription exemption card and sorted out how to get a proof of pregnancy that won't cost me a stupid £10! I was given a form which I need to take with me to the 20 week scan and then grab a midwife to sign it so it can be sent off! THEN finally I'll be able to send my details to the housing company. Pheww.
